"I am a self-proclaimed perfume junkie and after reading reviews about this online (the closest Sephora or Nordstrom are about 3 hours from me) I bought the roller and just got it today. I was expecting a more teeny-bopper type-- for lack of a better adjective-- vanilla scent, like Victorias Secret vanilla, don't get me wrong, I love that scent, but this was unexpectedly sophisticated, a more grown-up vanilla if you will. The citrus is very, very subtle. I was expecting/hoping the grapefruit would be a little bolder. Overall I think this is a really sweet and sensual scent without being obnoxious and I really like it. "I'm not a huge fan of perfumes in general. I hate the alcohol smell, that synthetic bit that most perfumes are based on. LaVanila is amazing and delicious in how none of that is present to destroy the purity of the scent.
The other LaVanila scents, though, presented too cloying, to coconut-ty, or too odd- that one note would just throw it off. But Vanilla Blossom is pure and simple vanilla beans based on sweet and clear flowers. Its not cloying, the flowers give it just enough clarity- and there aren't individual notes, they're expertly blended into a whole fragrance. There is a good trail of silliage, and maybe one or two spritzes are necessary for hours and hours on end mostly because it's oil based.
I'm in love with the stuff, and the price is alot, but a little goes a long way. I definitely recommend to vanilla fans, or those who want to break into vanillas. It gives a real boost to the vanilla's name. Delicious."
