"Forget about "Men" in the name - it's gorgeous on anyone. Darker and more velvety-rich than the women's counterpart but definitely related if you know the women's version. It may be even more delicious to wear than the women's. I wear it only in winter, feeling that it's too deep and warming for the hot weather. I had the shampoo once and it was incredible to have my hair smell like that. Seriously - people's eyes dilate when they smell this. "

"This scent is suitable for both men and women and while I adore the womens' version of this scent, I've often thought that Mr. Mugler got the versions mixed up because the drydown in the mens' version leaves mostly vanilla while the womens' leaves so much patchouli. I adore them both and would say that they could definitely pass as unisex fragrances. My boyfriend wears this in the winter months and it is very warm and unbelievably sexy. I would restrain from purchasing this for a man who has more of a subtle personality or that doesn't like to smell his own cologne all day. "Even though I am a woman I have fallen in love with this fragrance and wear it myself. It is so unusual. It is very deep and earthy and impossible to define. It almost smells unpleasant at first, but then it mellows down to a very warm, intoxicating vibe. "One of THE most unique men's scents ever. I cannot believe its originality, although I understand similar scents are out there.. they smell more like coffee than chocolate. This fragrance smells smoky, of Belgian dark chocolate, cocoa, and caramel.. but it's not sickenly sweet. Every female that has smelled this says she's never smelled anything like it. Every female I know that has smelled it wants to CONTINUE smelling it. With this scent, you can use small amounts: it lasts forever, and is VERY strong. So I happily sample and wear men's classic fragrances and only rarely feel they are too masculine for a woman. A*men, in my opinion, is such a classic. "HOLY DELISH! WOW! I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. I'd been buying him handmade soaps in his beloved Nag Champa scent and threw in an Angel scented one and he really likes it. So, I went and bought him the cologne and he LOVES it. This cologne stands alone. It certainly isn't like the typical colognes such as CK, Tommy, Drakkar, Farenheit, etc. This one is rich and delish. It's in a family like Obsession, but is more interesting. SMELLS WAY BETTER THAN ANGEL FOR WOMEN, IMHO. I may sneak some of the DH's for myself. DEFINITELY WILL REPURCHASE. Oh, and I got him the one in the black rubber bottle. It's a VERY SEXY AND MASCULINE bottle."

"We first purchased this in Paris, where it seemed practically every man was wearing it-I love it on my DH, of course I love Angel myself as well. It is warm and sexy, different enough to be masculine. The bottle we bought in Paris had the best scent, the concentration seemed much more intense. "I bought a flacon of ANGEL for men today... it had been a scent I wasn't sure I liked at first, but now am sold on it.
Having tried it only in a tester sample, I was immediately surprised by the flacon... a surprisingly heavy stainless-steel and glass thing. A flacon like that-- regardless of content-- gives one the reassuring impression of having purchased something of value!
Inside the box also was a slick little shiny metal keychain. Yes, gimshaws are nice!The flacon is undoubtedly real stainless steel, not a cheaper knockoff, which will account for the remarkable heft of the flacon. I don't know what's inspired the shape of it... if there is a metaphor afoot somewhere... It looks to me either like a military water canteen, or a 1930's gangster's ankle flask.
The fragrance is indeed giddy and audacious and not for every life situation... There is definitely something unchecked and a little weird about it... it reminds me of a young boy's suburban birthday party in the LBJ years. Yet it's a birthday party on LSD: electric, shimmering with dizzying peripheral prism; picture the fluorescing birthday cakes of California pop artist Wayne Thiebaud.
I perceive the fragrance itself as a two-tiered gourmand: the sharp, metallic citrus on top, and the nougat-mellow confectionery on the bottom. The tangy Yuzu grapefruit on top is mixed with a highly astringent "cleanser" note that is a dead ringer for Windex. The Windex note blocks the "travel" of the Yuzu perpendicularly, it seems, like a Checkpoint Charlie at the Berlin Wall... Bam! Then it plunges the scent straight down, without any middle notes, into the base; a base layer which, in any traditional fragrance, would serve only as the the "coeur", which may account for the top-heavy, circus-like giddiness of ANGEL... Picture those slightly frightening paintings of leering, grinning clowns one beholds on the marquee of a carnival funhouse, amused by some delicious malificence we're not privy to.
The confectionery base is a delectable pong of roasted coffee, stylish patchouli, and a very natural-smelling vanilla. A calm, tantalizing, fluffy sweetness, the way the bottom floor of Montgomery Ward's, reached by oily silver Otis escalator, used to smell in the 1960's, when they featured a glowing, huge glass counter of jellybeans, roasting nuts and candy-floss. While I don't detect the chocolate that has been celebrated, I do detect the faintest dash of cassia, joining forces with the patchouly to gently remind us that we're grown-up now.
ANGEL may be a classic. We'll see."

"Oh wow! I bought this for my boyfriend because he had been lemming it for a long time and he adores Angel for Women but I can't wear it. This is the best investment I've made in Men's cologne. This smells completely flattering, sexy and unique. One spray lasts a long time and the scent really turns me on. This has to be my favorite men's cologne at the moment. "This perfume is stellar. It smells very youthful yet sophisticated, it's like a power perfume. I usually can't wear perfumes because they're too heavy and too strong and I have seasonal allergies so some perfumes trigger them and make me continuously sneeze, which defeats the entire purpose of actually really having perfume. But this perfume is the perfect fit for a young lady who's looking for a bit of change of scent.

"I got a sample of this perfume and was fully expecting to hate it. I haven't been a fan of most of Ralph Lauren's fragrances, and I was expecting this one to be another boring coconut-suntan-lotion concoction like the nauseating Miami Glo. It's not.


Ralph Rocks is perfect for summer and smells beachy, but without the cheap suntan lotion smell. First on it really does smell like a mingling of passion fruit, kiwi, and humid mist. It's refreshing like a chilly wave crashing against the beach, with a smooth sweetness from the passion fruit and kiwi. This is fruity, but wonderfully unique. It really does smell like passion fruit, so it stands out against the fake, chemical-sweet fruit blends that are plentiful on the market today.


Over time this scent gets sweeter and warms up from the amber. The sandalwood grounds the blend. The lush, juicy, tropical fruits hold strong and are just gorgeous. This is the beachy summer scent of my dreams. Sweet, juicy, refreshing, and gorgeous. I'm definitely getting a bottle."

"Love this! It has no drydown on me and smells exactly the same when I first spray on as it does an hour later (just less so). Reminds me of sipping mimosas on a beach while rubbing a great smelling suntan lotion on (in other words, orange and coconut but not in a fake way). I am not a big fan of vanilla and I don't smell it much at all. Very subtle and not teeny bopper at all. I agree with other reviewers that the bottle could have been more "grown up" but I can ignore as long as the scent smells this good! My husband seems to love smelling it on me, too."

YUM!! Oh my just reading its' description makes my mouth water. This smells absolutely incredible and I've been through 4 bottles, i highly recommend this, although it seems more like a perfume for younger people. And I agree, it is similar, but not the same as BBW Fig "

When i first smelt this fragrance i hated it, i thought it smelt like cinnamon and maple syrup, Then my Best friend got it and i loved it it smelt like coconut, vanilla and spices.
BEST SUITED FOR:
its great for a cold, cool, breezy warm summers day especially if your at the beach when theres a nice breeze.
I think its mainly summery though you know the coconut makes it tropical.
PACKAGING:
People say the packaging is hideous but i think its really cute (purple being my favorite color) and modern.
OTHER: I would also recommend putting this on your skin and not on a card before you make a decision if you like it or not (its very overpowering on a card.)
Also DONT spray on too much one or two pumps is enough i gets a little too strong "

"Beautiful fresh juicy sweet mandarin oranges. That is what I get from this scent. I don't detect any mango scent at all. It's a great fresh scent to wear during the summer months. I've always looked for citrusy scents, but whatever perfumes I find that contain citrus---the citrus is hardly noticeable and is overpowered by the other ingredients. With this scent, its not. "I love all things ORANGE and have used over the years: Happy, Happy Heart, Happy to Be and really liked Marc Jacobs' limited edition Orange splash scent. Always spritzed it on when I was in Sephora, but didn't have the 60 bucks it would have set me back to buy it. Also for $60, the scent really didn't linger at all, and that was disappointing. So recently I'm browsing in Bath and Body Works. Didn't even have the intention of buying anything. On a severe, poverty level budget. Spritzed on their Mango Mandarin body splash. 'Wow! What a great pick-me-up scent! Like the bottle says, it makes me totally energized. It's especially wonderful in the summer. As with most body splashes, it doesn't have the best lasting power, but when layered with the body wash and lotion (especially), it's fantastic. It's maybe a bit on the sweet side, but I can deal with it. (Maybe from the cotton candy base note?) Overall, a great scent that wakes me up and energizes me. "

"I'm in love with this scent! It smells EXACTLY like an orange. Can't detect the mango note, but I guess it's there. I spritz this on as soon as I get up in the morning and it just puts me in a peppy mood. The lasting power is not as strong as I'd like, so I have to reapply but I don't mind. Since I'm not about to pay a fortune to get my hands on Escada's Pacific Paradise, I layer this with Tropical Passionfruit and Pink Grapefruit to create my own super fruity fragrance. "Mango Mandarin was at one point my favorite scent! It is a must if you like citrus smells. I can't really detect the mango scent. This smells like oranges and candy to me. It has a very sweet and citrusy scent. I put that I would not repurchase as I used to wear this a lot and I got bored with it. I think it does make a good room spray though. I do like this though and use it from time to time. I think I've used up 2 whole bottle of the lotion and I still have 70% of the body splash. I recently heard that oranges are a good scent to men, like it heightens their attraction, like pumpkin pie spice because they associate it with fresh-squeezed orange juice and breakfast in bed thoughts. Plus a single girl's got to work all she can! So that tidbit makes me use it more often plus I think it's a smell that most people can enjoy as not all people like musky or florally smells."

"It's pretty sweet, which works for me because I love sweet scents. The only problem is that the orange scent somewhat overpowers the mango one. Or maybe the mango scent just isn't there. There isn't any alcoholish scent which is good. It's not my favorite but I'd buy this again if it were on sale. Good spirit lifter-upper :)"

'To me, VBN smells like vanilla and cookie & it makes a great mix. The cream is a great moisturizer, especially in the winter. I have super dry skin in the winter, including eczema, and when I apply the moisturizer after my bath or shower at night, my skin is still moisturized in the morning. The scent is very long lasting. When I wake up in the mornings, I can still smell it on my skin, except then it smells more like just cookies. "

"One of my favorite scents from BBW. Love it for the winter time. The formula of the cream is the normal BBW formula. Love it. Moisturizing and holds a scent for a while, given it's just a cream. Feels lovely, sinks in well. One lippie off because the tube can be difficult to remove the very last bit of product from, but that's just me trying to get the most from the product!

The cream is my favorite product from this line but I also like to use the lotion during the warmer months of the year. Yep, I use it year-round. This year I even bought the on-the-go shimmer scent (rollerball fragrance pen) and I like that, too. I always like to try the new products they offer each year from the line. I have received many, many compliments while wearing VBN cream/lotion and have been told it smells like lots of different things- cotton candy, cookies, marshmallows - all things yummy. It is described as fresh vanilla bean, warm caramel and rich comforting cream and I think that is a really apt description. It is just a really warm, comforting fragrance and it makes me happy. I will continue to buy this as long as BBW continues to make it."

"This is my absolute favorite lotion from B&BW. I get compliments all the time when wearing only the body cream. It's a nice thick cream that's not greasy. " I have tried several of the vanilla scents that have come from Bath and Body Works over the years and I can honestly say that this is one of the best. To me the closest smell I can compare it to is home made vanilla cake batter. My fiance liked the smell when I showed him the scent at the store and he does not like many scents at all. He said it smelled nice. For him that is a huge statement (lol). I like the body cream better than the regular lotion because it is more creamy and more suited to the dry skin I tend to get in the winter months. The regular lotion is nice as well, just not as creamy. All in all, I would suggest giving this one a try."

"For the scent alone, this is a sure repurchase. An extremely warm and cozy combination of vanilla, caramel and cookie-dough, this is my body cream of choice when I need a little comfort. Great for cold nights when you're wrapped in your favourite blanket and lying on the couch with a good book or watching a favourite movie on the telly. The cream's texture is very nice, thick and creamy without being greasy. It moisturizes sufficiently and keeps skin feeling really soft. In my opinion, it's great for in-between seasons like spring and fall because it's adequately hydrating without being too rich but I hear they only bring this scent out during Christmas. If I was forced to find something I didn't like about this product I would probably say the packaging. It's nice enough but it's a little difficult to get all the product out from the tube. Because it's way too hard to squeeze out, I end up cutting the tube in half and scooping the remaining cream out. But that's a very mild annoyance. Overall, this is absolutely fantastic stuff. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing! "

"Let me first start off by saying, I've only been shopping at B&BW for a little over a year. (I know, I just crawled out from under a very heavy rock--haha!) I've heard SO MUCH about this product and I've seen it on every other Wish List. So, when I first walked into B&BW, I seen my favorite and asked her "What's the big deal about Vanilla Bean Noel???". The SA looked at me like I was joking. She took me by the hand, gently lead me over to their Christmas Display, shoved a open bottle under my nose and told me to "SMELL!". I had no idea! OMG! It's SO GOOD! I absolutely love it! I almost kissed her! To me, it smells like a snowy winter night, when I'm cozy in a fuzzy blanket, watching Nip/Tuck and eating a pint of Haagen Dazs Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. That's it! (If you prefer, watching Grey's Anatomy and eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's Vanilla!) At first it's like an explosion of Vanilla Bean, then you start to smell more...almost amber but sweet. Maybe a bit of Cinnamon and a touch of Caramel. It's not your average vanilla. I love it and I haven't worn Vanilla in years (and years!). I can't imagine not being able to go and buy it anytime I want:( I'll be stocking up on it, you can believe that! I've discovered that it layers very well with many different perfumes, too."

"This is every bit as good as I was hoping. It is a sweet, vanilla, cookie, sugar, creme brulee, slightly marshmallow scent that lasts quite awhile, but is not at all overpowering or cloying. "So many good things to say about this product. The smell is not just vanilla; it's definitely like cookies and caramel and all that good sugary stuff. If you like food-y scents, this could turn into a favorite holiday treat for you, as it has for me. It helps my dry winter skin very much, and that's why I chose the cream over the lotion. b&bw lotions work for me during the summer, but they are not enough for the winter. "This is the best smelling Vanilla scent out there. It smells like Vanilla cake with a touch of butter or freshly baked sugar cookies. I can't decide, but this is my favorite scent in the store. The cream is so thick and moisturizes very well. I love to layer this with Pink Sugar. Every single time I wear this, I get tons of compliments. This is an excellent change from the usual floral/fruity fragrances that BBW carry. They should make this scent available year round, not just during the Holidays. "I'm not normally one for vanilla scented stuff, but man alive, this stuff is just heavenly. It's a very soft, true vanilla. And I even think it has a bit of a cotton candy scent. Maybe a tad on the sweet side for some people, but I think it's great. Even hubby said he likes it, and he NEVER comments on any of my fragrances. This is definitely on of the best scents BBW has. Too bad it's a seasonal thing. Gonna have to stock up! As a moisturizer, it's pretty decent. Makes my skin feel soft and smooth without being greasy. I tend to prefer the BBW body creams to the lotions. "
